In December of 1994 paramedic Jan Langill suffered an injury to her left shoulder as she caught a falling stretcher. In saving a critical patients life, Jan was left unable to work due to permanent damage from this injury. After two surgeries and countless hours of treatments, a world-renowned trauma vascular surgeon in Denver is her only hope. The scar tissue in her left arm is so tight between the first rib and clavicle in the left shoulder that Jan’s blood flow and nerve sensation is seriously compromised.
A fundraiser and gratitude night was held in October of 2006 in preparation for Jan’s surgery scheduled for November of that year. Unfortunately the surgeon himself suffered an accident and was unable to perform this surgery.
Re-scheduled for March of 2007, Jan is still raising funds to support the cost of this life changing procedure. The fundraising goal is $80,000.
