Women Caring for Women International Grant The Women Caring for Women International Grant is a $5000 scholarship awarded to a female citizen of and currently living in a developing nation, who wishes to attend post secondary studies, and who requires financial support in the pursuit of her educational goals. The grant was established in 2006, and awarded for the first time on February 28th, 2007. Applications have been received from all over the world including Uganda, Ghana, Kenya, Bolivia, Haiti and the Dominican Republic. The selection process always proves to be incredibly difficult for the selection committee as the applications tend to be impressive and inspired. With this field of study I can help my family and community. My dream is to build a medical centre in my neighborhood to serve sick children with low economical resources." In 2008 the winner was Sahada Shaibu who is studying Business Administration at the University of Ghana in Legon. As a young woman from a small community she has become a role model for other girls in her home and an advocate for higher education for girls.
